Lodging in Bryce Canyon

The Lodge at Bryce Canyon
The Lodge at Bryce Canyon is one of the park’s most iconic historic structures offering 114 rooms including lodge suites, motel rooms, and cabins.

The Lodge at Bryce Canyon

The historic lodge offers unrivaled access to breathtaking views, world-class hiking trails, and a tranquil wilderness. As the only lodging within Bryce Canyon National Park, all of the facilities are just steps from the Bryce Amphitheater–the stunning ancient rock formations that must be seen to be completely realized. Opened in 1925, The Lodge is one of our national parks’ architectural treasures. It was designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood, who defined the rustic style of beloved sites such as Old Faithful Lodge at Yellowstone, the Ahwanee at Yosemite, and Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park. The Lodge At Bryce Canyon remains a completely original structure. It has been carefully maintained with an eye toward modern comforts while preserving the look and feel of one of the first western park lodges in the United States

Guests at The Lodge are also within easy walking distance to all of our services. The restaurant inside the Lodge offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Valhalla Pizzeria serves espresso, coffee and baked goods in the morning and Italian favorites after 3 p.m. The gift shop showcases Native American jewelry and art that cannot be found anywhere else in the Southwest. For guests who need groceries, camping supplies or quick food items, the General Store is convenient and affordable.

In the evening, interpretative park ranger programs are held in The Lodge’s beautiful cathedral-style auditorium. Most of the 114 rooms are situated between the main lodge and the amphitheater rim in a fragrant stand of old-growth ponderosa pine. Historic Western cabins give guests a rustic experience with the comforts of home. More contemporary hotel rooms are available in two-story lodges located on Sunrise or Sunset Point.
