Camping in Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon National Park has two campgrounds, North and Sunset, located in close proximity to the Visitor Center, Bryce Canyon Lodge and the main Bryce Amphitheater.

General Camping Information

Bryce Canyon National Park has two campgrounds, North and Sunset, located in close proximity to the visitor center, Bryce Canyon Lodge and the geologic wonder that is the Bryce Amphitheater. Both have restrooms with flush toilets, and drinking water. During the summer months, coin-operated laundry and shower facilities are available at the general store nearby. There are no hook-ups in the campgrounds, but a fee-for-use dump station is available for RV users at the south end of North Campground.

NOTE: Dump-station is closed during months with freezing temperatures.

North Campground

North campground is located in close proximity to the Visitor Center. North Campground Is surrounded by Ponderosa Pine forest habitat with equal amounts of shade and sun.

No group site is available at North Campground and sites fill by early afternoon during the summer months.

North Campground is comprised of 99 sites in 4 loops; A, B, C, D.

Loops A & B are for RV campers (13 Sites) by reservation.

Loops C & D are for tent campers (86 Sites) first come, first served.

January 1 – May 18 (First-come, First-served)
May 19 – October 7 (Make a Reservation)
October 8 – December 31 (First-come, First-served)

To make reservations for 13 RV sites call (877) 444-6777 or visit www.recreation.gov. Reservations for these sites can be made from 6 months to 2 days in advance (minimum advance reservation is two days).

Sunset Campground

Sunset campground is located in close proximity to the Bryce Canyon Lodge and the Bryce Amphitheater. Surrounded by ponderosa pine forest habitat with equal amounts of shade and sun. Open during the summer season, sites fill by early afternoon.

Closed in Winter

A Group Site is available at Sunset Campground by reservation.

Campsite Fees

All sites are limited to 10 people [with no more than 6 adults (adult=ages 16 and up)], 3 tents and 2 vehicles.

Per RV Site = $30
Per Tent Site = $20
